PAWPRINTS CHARITY SHOP REOPENING
For the past few weeks we have been working really hard ‘behind the scenes’ to make sure that the Charity Shop is Covd-19 safe for our staff, volunteers and our customers. We are now happy to say that we are almost ready to reopen, and our target date is Monday 20 July 2020.
Measures to protect our customers include:
allowing only 3 customers in the shop at one time; asking everyone who enters the shop (whether wearing gloves or not) to use the hand sanitizer supplied to prevent cross-contamination; and to follow a one-way system using our Pawprints footprints.
Unfortunately we don’t have a full rota of volunteers at present due to shielding and self isolation, so our temporary opening hours will be:
MONDAY, FRIDAY AND SATURDAY 10AM – 3PM
We will be closed to customers on Tuesdays and Thursdays but will be able to accept donations on these days by appointment only. We will be closed completely on Wednesdays.
We have also made the decision NOT to accept donations when the shop is open to the public, so again there will we are able to offer the opportunity to donate between 9-10am and 3-4pm on shop opening days – again by appointment only.
We have been clearing out lots of old stock to make way for your donations. All new donations however, will have to be quarantined for 72 hours in order to prevent the spread of Covid 19, and we have very limited storage space to do this.
We will be ready and able to start accepting limited variety of good quality, saleable donations from 13 July 2020. We now have to pay for the removal of poor quality items which we cannot sell in the shop – so please bin these or take these to the tip. We will also not be able to make any collections from homes for the foreseeable future.
PLEASE NOTE THAT WE CANNOT NOW ACCEPT DUVETS, PILLOWS, CUSHIONS OR FURNITURE
Due to lack of storage space and quarantine requirements we may also not be able to accept other items, but this will be reviewed on a regular basis. Please enquire when booking your donation appointment.
To make an appointment to deliver donations please ring 07506 750915 during shop opening hours 9am – 5pm Monday to Saturday (but not Wednesday).
