Kennel Assistant
Pawprints Dunsmore Kennels (a trading arm of Pawprints Dog Rescue Charity No 1190250) is a small business based on the Warwickshire/Leicestershire border, within the Borough of Rugby. As well as our own rescue dogs, we provide 5 Star boarding facilities for customers dogs.
We are looking for a hardworking, self-motivated, and reliable Kennel Assistant to join our busy rescue and boarding kennels, working alongside our dedicated staff. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about dogs and committed to supporting their welfare.
About the role
The role will involve caring for dogs in our rescue and boarding kennels, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and welfare, and supporting the day-to-day running of the kennels. Previous kennel experience would be desirable, but full training will be provided.
About you
- Level 2 Animal Welfare qualified, or currently studying towards Level 3 Animal Welfare at college ( or equivalent qualifications).
- Passionate about dogs and their welfare.
- Physically fit and able to undertake the active nature of kennel work.
- Hardworking, dependable and responsible.
- Some experience of working in kennels is desirable, although not essential.
- Reliable transport is essential, as we are based in a rural location with no nearby bus routes
