As a registered charity we are entirely reliant upon the kindness and generosity of our supporters. We are only able to continue saving dogs if we are able to pay for their accommodation and medical treatment prior to them going to a new home. Although we ask for an adoption fee of £200 when our dogs are adopted, this very rarely covers the cost of kennelling, microchipping, neutering, worm and flea treatment let alone any other expenses some dogs may incur.
Pawprints is a registered charity run by volunteers with only one paid member of staff managing our charity shop. This means that all money donated to Pawprints goes directly to caring for the dogs.
“We do not pay volunteers, not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless”
Our volunteers help us save lives; without them, we quite simply wouldn’t be able to do what we do.
We are so grateful to our volunteer team who carry out a range of roles for us, from dog walking, homecheckers, fundraising, events, shop assistant, admin and foster carers; every single person plays a vital role in saving the dog’s lives.
We are always looking for dedicated, committed volunteers to join our team. If you’d like to join our team please send us a message
We take on many fundraising activities ourselves, our annual dog show is a must-see event, over the years it’s turned into a dog festival, where dogs and their humans get together to celebrate their lives and the love they share – with music, agility, and most importantly – cake! We also hold an annual raffle.
However, with vet bills running at £25,000 per year, we are always grateful for any extra support.
We are fortunate that our great supporters also fundraise for us by running marathons, taking part in muddy challenges, sponsored walks, run and occasionally silences!
If you’d like to fundraise for us and need leaflets or collection pots, please get in touch.
“Happiness starts with a wet nose, and ends with a waggy tail”
The dogs in our care are always grateful for any donations directly to them. They have no specific requests (well, one or two have!) but they love treats, toys, enrichment games, blankets, comfy beds and towels.
Our charity shop
Pawprints Dog Rescue also has a small charity shop in the centre of Rugby.
The shop is an important part of our fundraising strategy to enable us to continue rescuing dogs and to grow our operation further so we can make an even bigger positive impact.
We’re now collecting good quality clothes, pairs of shoes, accessories and bric-a-brac to sell in our shop, so if you are about to have a spring clean, please think of us!
Our address is:
16 Albert Street
It’s well recognised that corporate away-days involving employee volunteering, can boost morale and team working. We’re always delighted to welcome teams from local businesses to help us work on projects at the kennels. Without their assistance, we would not have many of the facilities here for the dogs.
If your business or employer has a CSR programme, and you’re interested in helping us, please get in touch.
