Pawprints Dog Rescue is a registered charity which is entirely reliant upon the kindness and generosity of our supporters.

We are only able to continue saving dogs if we can pay for their accommodation and medical treatment before them going to a new home. Although we ask for an adoption fee of £250 when our dogs are adopted, this very rarely covers the cost of kennelling, microchipping, neutering, worm and flea treatment and any other expenses some dogs may incur.

If you would like to help us continue our work and can donate a little (or a lot!) to our rescue pot, then every penny is much appreciated.

Volunteer

“We do not pay volunteers, not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless”

Our volunteers help us save lives; without them, we quite simply wouldn’t be able to do what we do.

We are so grateful to our volunteer team who carry out a range of roles for us, from dog walking, homecheckers, fundraising, events, shop assistant, admin and foster carers; every single person plays a vital role in saving the dog’s lives.

We are always looking for dedicated, committed volunteers to join our team. If you’d like to join our team please send us a message

Fundraise

We take on many fundraising activities ourselves, our annual dog show is a must-see event, over the years it’s turned into a dog festival, where dogs and their humans get together to celebrate their lives and the love they share – with music, agility, and most importantly – cake! We also hold an annual raffle.

However, with vet bills running at over £30,000 per year, we are always grateful for any extra support.

We are fortunate that our great supporters also fundraise for us by running marathons, taking part in muddy challenges, sponsored walks, run and occasionally silences!

If you’d like to fundraise for us and need leaflets or collection pots, please get in touch.

Giving

“Happiness starts with a wet nose, and ends with a waggy tail”

The dogs in our care are always grateful for any donations directly to them. They have no specific requests (well, one or two have!) but they love treats, toys, enrichment games, blankets, comfy beds and towels.

Businesses

It’s well recognised that corporate away-days involving employee volunteering, can boost morale and team working. We’re always delighted to welcome teams from local businesses to help us work on projects at the kennels. Without their assistance, we would not have many of the facilities here for the dogs.

If your business or employer has a CSR programme, and you’re interested in helping us, please get in touch.
