About Me

Barnabas is a lovely 2 year old black cane corso available for adoption at Pawprints Dog Rescue in the Midlands.

Barnabas is a big, gorgeous boy who is looking for a family to call his own, after being found as a stray in not a good condition and very nervous he has come on so much with us. From sinking to the floor whenever he saw a lead and refusing to go near, he loves going for new adventures, leaping into the car and gaining confidence every day. His favourite adventures include a swimming opportunity! He does still find some new situations worrying and wouldn’t like to have to walk down busy main roads.

Barnabas is looking for an adult only home with no visiting children as can find meeting new people in the home worrying, having a safe space/room he can go if he feels overwhelmed would be ideal. Although he can find new people coming into the home worrying he builds bonds with his people quickly and loves a cuddle and fuss, happily joining you on the sofa.

A family with knowledge of large breeds would be perfect for this handsome boy, he can be strong on the lead and sometimes becomes frustrated and vocal when he wants to play with other dogs! He has walked with a range of dogs whilst he has been with us and enjoys meeting them but would like to have the home to himself. He did previously live with secured chickens and did well with this once the excitement of them moving wore off.

He has so much love to give to an experienced home and will be patiently waiting for that family to come along.
