Poor Coyote has recently had many vet visits, after we discovered 2 small lumps on his face. We’d also been noticing an odd gait, so he additionally had an x-ray on his lower back. We initially feared he had hip dysplasia which would’ve affected him throughout his life, but since further examination by orthopedic specialists, it’s luckily not as bad as we thought. As for the 2 lumps, sadly the larger had a nerve running through it. Surgery was halted and further tests run.
We’ve been relieved to learn the lumps are simply reactive lymph nodes and require no further treatment. Coyote has been doing well whilst recovering and has a new gentle exercise routine and anti-inflammatories to get him back on track! 💜
