Dawn, our brave French Bulldog, is suffering from severe chronic otitis. Despite ongoing treatment, her condition has not improved. When sedated, vets were unable to identify her ear canals due to extensive proliferative tissue – showing just how advanced and painful this is.
Specialists have now recommended a bilateral TECA (Total Ear Canal Ablation) – a major surgery to remove the diseased ear canals. It may sound drastic, but it is often life-changing, giving dogs like Dawn the chance to live pain-free. Without it, she will continue to suffer.
There are risks, but specialists believe the benefits far outweigh them given Dawn’s condition.
Dawn is currently in a loving foster home, where she is being wonderfully cared for and kept comfortable
