About Me
Cherry is a happy-go-lucky girl who loves people and other dogs. She is currently in foster, and is house-trained and crate-trained, and travels well in the car. Cherry is happy being left alone for short periods. Although she isn’t a big fan of going on walks, she really enjoys sitting in the garden and playing. Since she missed out on a lot of early experiences and socialisation, Cherry’s owners will need to be patient and willing to commit to her training – she is still a puppy and is prone to stealing items like socks, and will mouth hard when over-excited (though this has improved greatly with calm, positive training). She can sometimes be wary of new things, so her owners will need to show her that the world isn’t such a scary place!
Home Requirements
Cherry is looking for a home with no cats or other small furries. She could live with children over the age of 12 and possibly with another dog, though she would be best suited to a lively, playful companion. She would love a home with a nice outdoor space so she can sit out in the garden, and her new owners will have to be patient when it comes to helping her enjoy walks more. Most importantly Cherry is still a puppy, so her owners will need to have a good understanding of how to positively and calmly manage excitable puppy behaviour.
