About Me
Arthur is a big boy with an even bigger heart! He’s been through a lot of upheaval in the last six months, and is desperate for a home where he can spend his retirement years in peace. Despite being of an age that would be considered ‘senior’ for a dog of his size, Arthur still has plenty of energy – especially when there are treats involved! However, he also knows how to sit nicely and takes food very gently. Arthur is prone to a bit of alert/demand barking, but this could be addressed through training and will likely improve once he becomes more settled.
Home Requirements
Arthur is looking for a quiet home with no children or visiting children. He cannot live with cats or small furries, and has also shown a strong interest in livestock. Arthur does not appear to have been well socialised with other dogs, and may lunge and bark when he sees dogs out and about. His owners will need to be willing to work through this by building a strong bond with him and committing to his training, and he will need to be walked in quiet areas for the time being. Given his size, he is also very strong on the lead, so his adopters will need to be confident in handling large dogs.
Arthur will need lots of time and patience as he adjusts to his new life, but we guarantee that this lovely boy will repay you tenfold!
