About Me

From Angel’s fosterer:

Angel is a sweet and loving little girl, who just loves laps and cuddling up for a tummy tickle. She’s got ‘posing like a meerkat’ to perfection! She also loves her twice daily walks, and is very enthusiastic about going out to new places with new smells. She enjoys just walking beside you or trotting ahead on her long line. She’s met children on scooters and bikes, and accepted treats very gently from them. She’s also not worried by joggers and cyclists. She’s not fazed when walking by traffic and enjoys parks, fields and woodlands. After her walk Angel curls up in her bed or on the sofa and sleeps. She loves to sit in the garden in the sunshine and loves being close to her human around the home. Angel travels very well in the car, jumping into her bed on the front seat. She looks out of the window, then lays down and goes to sleep. She’s a sleepy girl in the mornings and just loves her lay-ins. As with most chihuahuas Angel is nervous around other dogs and shows this in barking at them. She can be distracted by taking her to one side and dropping treats for her to snuffle and find. She has met a few dogs through the garden fence that initially she barked at, but within a minute or so they’re happily playing (albeit still with the garden fence between them) She’s also nervous in the home of some noises and shows this by barking. When she meets new people it’s best that they don’t approach her in the first instance, but let her approach them. She’s then very happy to have strokes from them and quickly accepts them as her friends. Angel is toilet trained and prefers to do her poos on her walk, rather than in the garden She can be left for 2-3 hours with no problems, but she likes to sit at a window to watch for your return!

Home Requirements

Angel’s perfect home would be a calm and peaceful home with older children as she is nervous of noise and shows this by barking. She would love two walks a day and be an only dog who gets all the attention. She loves a nice comfy lap to curl up on and sleep, and chicken, she loves chicken!
